Analog EDA/CAD Engineer

EDA/CAD Engineer to support and develop EDA tools for Analog/Mixed signal circuit design. The engineer will be hands-on with all phases of design including foundry interface, PDK/tool flow installation database archive validation, and support. The engineer must be an expert in Analog/Mixed signal circuit design flows and tools. 

Responsibilities
o Support CAD environment for the design of analog/mixed-signal
o Contribute to the development of design standards, IC development processes, CAD tools and design flows
o Serve as CAD engineer on some interactions with external IP, tool and foundry vendors
o Command files review, revise, and setup for new projects
o Troubleshoot any CAD issues as required
o Design, setup, and maintain CAD interfaces between IP vendor and design teams

Minimum Expertise Requirements
o Expert in analog and mixed-signal IC design concepts and must demonstrate superior critical thinking skills, problem solving capabilities and engineering judgment
o Fluent with analog/mixed signal EDA front end tools
o Cadence Virtuoso, icfb, experienced or strong knowledge of schematic driven layout
o Mentor Calibre (end user support and rule deck writing)
o Detailed understanding of layout concepts
o CAD tool management
o Strong UNIX/Linux and scripting language (Perl/TCL/csh/etc) .
o Ocean scripting and linux OS support

Minimum Experience Requirements
o BSEE and 10+ years of experience working as a mixed signal IC CAD professional is required
o Experienced with setting up, documenting, and maintaining analog and digital IC design flows
o Experienced with transistor-level IC design and verification software, e.g. Cadence Composer, Cadence Virtuoso, Cadence Spectre, Virtuoso AMS, Mentor Calibre, Cadence Assura, Skill language, is a must
o Third Party IP: Experienced in designing, setting up, and maintaining CAD interfaces with external IP vendor

Analog IC circuit designer

Analog IC circuit designer such as bandgap reference, amplifier, comparator, linear regulators and PLL sub-blocks (PFD, VCO, LF & CP) and knowledge of PLL system design.
Also fluent in logic design by using verilog-D and A, having good skills in designing analog circuit and logic, performing circuit analyses and circuit debugging, using CAD tools.
Must be able to do silicon characterization, testing, debugging, and improvement, also have good knowledge in semiconductor device physics and process technologies.
BSEE required, MSEE preferred, with at 5~10 years of direct working experience.
Independently handle a project is a plus.
